It is clear throughout God’s Word that hope is offered. God is a God of hope and not despair. He offers more in a moment than the world can offer in a lifetime. We must remember that the things which we see are not eternal. The Scripture says in 2 Corinthians 4:18, “While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.” God offers a hope beyond the grave knowing that this world and the things of it are passing away. This notion leaves many people disheartened because their affections are rooted in worldly ways and actions. For the believer in Jesus Christ, this world is not our home. We are strangers and pilgrims sojourning through this land. God, thorough the Lord Jesus Christ, has prepared a place in heaven for all who believe. It is here that Romans 5:5 tells us that we have a hope that does not disappoint.

However, our hope goes further and deeper. Our hope is an anchor and it enters behind the veil into the presence of God.  And who is that… that enters behind the veil? The great, all sufficient Son of God, Jesus Christ.
